This is a map from Grosselin-Delamarche’s French atlas which contains geopolitical maps, some geological perspectives and historical maps. The Delamarche were three generations of cartographers who themselves had acquired the maps of the geographers to the king of France, the Vaugongy’s a century earlier.
In clear and strong lines one finds the borders, towns, rivers and ranges dating from 1873. The colors are still hand colored at a time when printed color was about to flourish, making these maps even more remarkable.
